My Los Angeles-based CFO networking group recently had the pleasure of having David Richman as our keynote speaker. His inspiring talk focused on what he calls the “middle-of-the-packers”; the overwhelming majority of us whose success in life is left largely to our own individual, and often unnoticed, efforts. He spoke about effecting meaningful change in our lives and how we need to re-program our perspectives and become more in touch with our values and our strengths and weakness. He hit home about how as executives, the audience needed to understand that to have their advisors, attorneys, accountants and sales forces take action, they need to empower them from within to drive behaviors that motivate them to accomplish more.
